Updated policy: SLAC Travel Card

Travel cards are required for buying travel and travel-related services for official business purposes.

By Business Services Division

Earlier this month, the Business Services Division (BSD) updated the SLAC Travel Card (TCard) policy

Travel cards are required for buying travel and travel-related services for official business purposes, and they reduce the need for travel advances and business expense reimbursements.

Although the policy updates are minor, BSD would like to highlight the section regarding suspensions or revoked cards for card holders who do not comply with this policy. Please note that SLAC will suspend TCards for the following reasons:

  • Identified misuse or fraud of the TCard.
  • Failure to submit expense reports in the Concur system in a timely manner, no later than 60 days after the completion of travel.
  • TCard transactions older than 60 days from expense end date that are not associated with expense reports in the Concur system.

Card holders, along with their supervisor, will be notified prior to having their card suspended.  A suspended TCard can be reactivated, using the same card number, when SLAC Travel has determined the cardholder is eligible to continue using the TCard.

You can find the full policy on the Institutional Policies website, and if you have questions, please contact the Travel Office.
